Nancy O'Dell's first work in the industry of broadcast was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. Her reporting on the streets of Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the instances. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. O'Dell was then employed by the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. O'Dell in addition to anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes.
